Prevent Child Abuse Indiana

No one can do everything. But everyone can do something. And together, we can do anything. Together, we can prevent child abuse!

Prevent Child Abuse Indiana is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, and is committed to making Indiana a better, safer place for Indiana's most precious resources - our children. With strong support of active councils throughout the state, we work together to:
• Increase awareness of the problem and inform communities about solutions.
• Serve as a valuable resource for families, individuals and organizations.
• Advocate for expanded and improved programs and policies to prevent child abuse.
• Foster a statewide network committed to child abuse prevention.

Please report all child abuse and neglect by calling 1-800-800-5556  Our office does not take abuse/neglect reports.  Thank you

"I Never Meant" -- a short film that delves into the life of a family.  Child abuse, stress, peer pressure, and neglect play a role.  Sibling rivarly proves to be a constant tug-of-war on the emotions and patience of a mother trying to hold it together.  Follow the journey of a "real" family dealing with "real" issues.  This presentation includes small group work and lots of discussion led by Sandy Runkle, PCAIN Programs Director. Two identical workshops will be held in the Southern Region of Indiana, exact locations to be announced soon.

Children Our Best Interest – COBI
Statehouse Day

An excellent opportunity for learning more about legislative advocacy is coming up, and we wanted to make sure you knew about it in time to get it on your calendars. Children Our Best Investment, known as “COBI”, is organizing their 11th annual Statehouse Day on Monday, March 2, 2009. By bringing youth and youth service workers together, COBI works to teach people to advocate for youth-related issues.
